What sites show up if you type "S" into your browser's address bar?
A lot of stuff! Tons of LJ posts by all my friends who have S-titled journal names; I'm not going to link those. Also, my photobucket account URL starts with smg.photobucket.com, so I'm not going to link those either. However, there are also these things:
Stargate Atlantis Season 4 Spoilers -- serious spoilers, like it says. Don't read it if you don't want spoiling.
Stealthfiction -- this is where I found an extended mp3 of "Hoist the Colours" from PotC3: AWE.
Dan Savage posted a funny poster. "No shit grins," heh.
The Bioware Star Wars Forums -- I've been stalking the boards here waiting to see if they'll update KOTOR to play on my computer or if I'm just going to have to suck it up and get a better video card. I don't have the kind of cash to get the one I want, though, so it'll have to wait whether or not I want to get it.
Sweet Innocence Caps -- season 3 of The Office screencaps!
Samantha48616e61.com -- any good Heroes fan will know what this is.
Sports logos -- I was looking up the London 2012 bid logo because it is so much better than the crap they came up with for their official logo.
Satan's Laundromat -- a friend linked me up with this photoblog; I thought it was neat.
What will be your famous last words?
Submitted by ngocaroo.
I'm pretty sure my last word will be "Whups." I'm an incomparable klutz. It'll be the last thing I say before falling from a great height or accidentally stabbing myself with something. It's unfortunate.
Share a photo of something that made a huge impact on your life.
This is a picture of the Tyne bridge, in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England. It's the most imposing of the bridges on the Tyne, and one of the most prominent images I have of my year there. Life was never the same after that trip; I've got this incredible gnawing urge, this feeling that I'm in the wrong city. It's like I'm tethered to this bridge and the longer I stay in the States, the tighter the tension on the line.
I miss Newcastle.
If you could only save one thing in a house fire (thing, not person), what would it be and why?
Submitted by donnunn.
Okay, so this is super-sentimental and really quite silly, but if I could only grab ONE THING, it would be Teddyred, my oldest and most-loved teddy bear. I've had him since before I can remember and I cannot imagine a time in my life without him. I swear, I'll probably be buried with him. Even if he just sits nicely on a chair in my room like he does nowadays -- I kicked him out of the bed when I got to high school and it wasn't "cool" to sleep with stuffed animals anymore -- I still love him. Liek woah.
Who's your favorite movie villain?
This one's easy: Ivan Korshunov, from Air Force One. He's Crazy Gary Oldman! He's Russian! He has a gun! And scruffy hair!
What's not to love?
What do you usually do on Sunday?
I usually hang out. As far as internet-related stuff goes, I try to catch up on stuff that I tend to skim over or skip during the week when I'm busy, like fic recs and extra-active friends lists, and celebrity gossip blogs. I also tend to do my laundry and cleaning on Sundays.
What's one thing that you'd like to get done this weekend? Is there anything holding you back?
I'd like to get moved in without too much hassle. But of course, to get that done, I have to finish the first task: packing. OY. SO not done yet.
What is your current computer desktop image? Let's see it!
My current desktop is a little thingy I just cobbled together because I got tired of the one I had before it and had just been reading every joke at toothpastefordinner. I took my favorite of the ones on the main page and did this with it.
Domo arigordion, Mr. Accordion! Muaha. I uploaded it full-size so that if any of you would actually want to use it, you could.
What's your cell phone's ringtone? What made you pick it?
My cellphone currently rings the theme to Doctor Who. Oh yeah.
I picked it because, well, I'm kind of in love with the show. Though, I'm a little nervous about how it's going to be next season. However, my love for David Tennant has not waned!
Play any instrument or speak any language, which do you choose?
Question submitted by cruftbox.vox.com.
It's all Mel Gibson's fault, but I would love to know how to speak Aramaic. I realize it's pretty useless nowadays, but I guess this answer would have to come with the "if I also had the option of making everyone else learn it too, so that we could all speak it together, or perhaps if we could get time machines in as a conditional term," and then I could go around speaking Aramaic. Awesome.
Barring that, I'd love to learn Hebrew. It's so pretty!
